Eight-inch combination pliers with the pivot set back from the jaws, so the same hand pressure that is needed on a standard pair cuts noticeably harder wire. The head handles 4.6 mm steel wire and carries a stripping section sized for 1.0 to 6.0 square millimetre cable, which covers the flex and tri-rated cable used in panel and installation work. Serrated jaws hold a nut or a cable gland while it is started, and the hardened cutting edge keeps its bite after repeated use on fencing wire and steel ties. TPR grips are moulded over the handles to take the sting out of a hard cut and to keep a wet grip, and the 200 mm length gives enough leverage for one-handed work. Supplied in a plastic case so the edge is protected in a tool bag. A general-purpose pair for electricians, fencing crews and maintenance teams.
