Cordless heat gun with a digital temperature readout, built for electronics repair, shrink film and screen work where a mains lead is awkward and the temperature has to be repeatable. The lithium-ion pack runs at 18 to 20 volts and the set ships with one battery and a fast charger, so the tool is ready to work on arrival with no separate purchase. Temperature is set and shown digitally rather than by a rotary guess dial, which matters when the same setting has to be reproduced on a second joint or a second shift. Overheat protection cuts the element if the gun is left running against a surface, while a safety lock and a separate battery release prevent accidental starts in a tool bag.
