Four-way cross wheel wrench forged from Cr-V alloy steel for roadside and workshop tyre changes. Four sockets sit on a single 20 inch cross, so the two sizes not in use act as the handle and both hands can stay on the tool, which is what stops a stubborn nut from rolling the wrench off. The sockets cover 17, 19, 21 and 23 mm, the four common passenger and light commercial wheel nut sizes, and the chrome-plated finish with a knurled grip wipes clean and does not slip in wet weather. Handles are about 15.8 mm across and the socket walls about 4.5 mm, giving the stiffness needed to take a breaker bar load without splaying. The tool weighs 1.71 kg and is double-reinforced at the centre joint. A useful line for tyre shops, service vans, hire fleets and car accessory sellers. Car owners changing between summer and winter wheels keep it on a garage shelf, since the sockets cover both sets. Kept in the boot or the van as the one tool for a roadside wheel change, where both hands on the cross give the leverage a short bar cannot.
