Product detail

A 60 W soldering iron with a digital readout of the tip temperature, supplied with a US plug for 110 V supplies. The set temperature is dialled in with the two buttons and held on the LCD, so the same joint can be repeated at the same heat instead of being judged by feel, and the internal-heat element keeps the tip at that temperature through a run of joints. The handle is marked ESD safe, which matters when the board being worked on is one that static can damage, and the handle is rated 110 to 240 V for a workshop with mixed supplies. The kit includes a stand with a cleaning sponge, five spare tips in different shapes and a tube of solder to get started. The spare tips let a single iron cover fine pad work and heavier joints without waiting for another iron to come up to heat. A bench iron for repair work that handles one joint at a time, with the stand and spare tips arriving in the same box rather than as extras.
