Shear attachment that converts an ordinary 21V or 12V drill, including impact drills, into a powered sheet metal cutter. A precision gear drive takes the drill rotation to the blades, which shear the sheet instead of grinding it, so the cut is clean and burr free with no sparks, no kickback and no water to trap rust on the edge. The thickened alloy steel body is one-piece forged around the gear train, which is what keeps the blades in alignment under load. The blades are detachable and replaceable, and one, two or three blade options can be specified so the same body cuts steel sheet from 0.2 to 1.0 mm, copper and aluminium from 0.3 to 1.2 mm and stainless from 0.2 to 0.8 mm. A non-slip universal hex shank fits the drill chuck. Weighs 412.5 g. Sheet metal workers use it on ducting, flashing and guttering where a short cut is quicker than setting up a bench shear. Turns a drill already on the van into a shear for duct and flashing work, which saves carrying a separate powered shear to site.
