Belt sander for flattening panels, doors and boards and for stripping a finish before refinishing. The 810 W copper-wound motor runs a 76 x 457 mm belt at 250 m/min, so a door face or a table top is levelled in a few passes instead of being worked over with a small orbital sander. The machine can be used handheld or inverted on a bench, which turns it into a compact stationary linisher for edges and end grain. Belt changes are tool-free with a single release lever and the tracking knob is adjusted by hand, so a torn belt is swapped without hunting for an Allen key. The enlarged 170 x 200 mm base plate keeps the belt flat against the work and a double switch with a separate safety button prevents an accidental start. A washable dust bag collects the sanding dust.
