A wheeled pressure blaster for stripping rust, mill scale, paint and oxide from steel before it is coated or welded. The 5 gallon tank is filled with abrasive and pressurised from a workshop compressor, then discharged through the hose and blasting gun, which cuts far faster than a siphon gun because the grit leaves the nozzle at full line pressure rather than being pulled through by vacuum. Working pressure runs from 60 to 125 PSI at 6 to 25 CFM, which covers a small single-phase compressor up to a proper shop unit. The tank sits on a tubular frame with 2 inch and 6 inch directional casters, so it rolls around a yard or workshop and parks beside the job. A regulator valve on the inlet lets the operator dial the pressure to the abrasive in use, and the whole unit packs down to 67.5 x 40 x 35 cm for transport or storage between jobs. A pot for a maintenance crew stripping a gate or a trailer on site, where the whole unit rolls to the work instead of the parts coming to a booth.
