Two-section steel drawer slide with a detachable rail, chosen where the drawer box has to be lifted out for loading, cleaning or servicing rather than simply pulled open. The rail is 25 mm wide, 8.5 mm high and 28 cm closed, with 19 cm of travel and a mounting clearance of 1.7 to 1.9 cm, which suits shallow drawers, keyboard trays, tool trolleys, instrument cases and light furniture where a full three-section slide would be more hardware than the job needs. The low profile adds very little to the side of a drawer, so internal drawer space is not sacrificed. Because the rail separates from its bracket, a drawer can be taken off the carcass without tools and dropped back on again, which saves time in production and in service.
