Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pump, Aluminum Body

Air-operated double diaphragm pump with a cast aluminium body, the heavier-duty alternative where a plastic housing would not stand up to impact, heat or abrasive solids. Running on compressed air rather than electricity removes both the motor and the shaft seal, so the pump is safe in flammable atmospheres and can be dead-headed against a closed valve without a bypass. The bolted diaphragm chambers sandwich the centre housing and the air valve block, and the flanged ports accept standard pipework, making the unit straightforward to drop into an existing line. Thick cast feet at the base allow floor or plinth mounting. Flow is set by throttling the air inlet, so one pump can be used for gentle dosing or full transfer. Typical duties include slurry, coatings, solvents and general plant drainage.
