A cordless hydraulic crimping tool for terminating cable lugs and connectors from 10 to 300 mm2. A 21 V 4.0 Ah battery drives an electric pump that builds 70 MPa and delivers 70 kN of output over a 17 mm stroke, so a lug is compressed in one pass instead of being worked by hand on a long handle. Twelve dies are supplied: 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185, 240 and 300 mm2, and they drop into the head without tools. The C-shaped head lets the lug be seated from the front before the ram closes on it, so the cable is offered to the tool rather than forced round it. Two batteries and a charger are included with a carry case; the tool weighs 5.2 kg with a battery fitted and 9.4 kg in the case. Suited to switchgear, distribution boards and motor terminations. A crimper for a cable jointer working on site, where the cordless head takes the lug from the front and the die set covers the sizes on the drawing.
