Key points

  • Reads in psi, bar, kg/cm2 and kPa so one gauge suits metric and imperial users
  • Half-squeeze trigger bleeds pressure down to target without pulling the chuck off the valve
  • Brass threaded fittings at both ends of a 404 mm hose
  • Ribbed housing with a protective surround keeps the LCD out of harm on a yard floor
  • The digital readout removes the parallax guess when a pressure has to hit a single figure

Product detail

An air-line inflator gun with a digital gauge that reads out in four pressure units: pounds per square inch, bar, kilograms per square centimetre and kilopascals. The working ranges are 0 to 100 psi, 0 to 7 bar, 0 to 7 kg per square centimetre and 0 to 700 kPa, which covers car, motorcycle and light commercial tyres, and the unit is switched on the gauge itself, so the same tool can be handed to someone who thinks in bar and to someone who thinks in psi. The trigger has a half-squeeze position that bleeds air back out of the tyre, so pressure can be brought down to the target without pulling the chuck off the valve and letting out more than intended. The hose is 404 mm long with brass threaded fittings at both ends. One brass adapter fitting is supplied with the tool. It is usually bought for a vehicle service bay where readings have to be written down, since a digital display is easier to quote back than a needle. A gauge for a fleet workshop checking pressures across mixed units, where the digital readout settles any argument about whether a tyre is right.
