Product detail
Air-powered chain hoist rated at 2 tonnes for lifting and shifting loads where an electric hoist cannot be used. There are no electrical parts in the drive, so it produces no spark and no static, which suits hazardous areas and atmospheres carrying dust or solvent vapour. If the air line is cut the load holds where it is instead of running down, and a self-locking mechanism stops the chain over-speeding on the way down. Running on 0.5 MPa shop air, the motor lifts at 1.4 m per minute and lowers at 1.5 m per minute with the speed adjustable, and the unit is small and light beside an electric hoist of the same capacity. Two falls of chain carry the 2 tonne load. For mine workshops, plant maintenance and fabrication bays, supplied with a one-year warranty on the unit.
