A self-closing spring hinge that pulls a garden or fence gate shut behind you without a separate closer arm. The coil spring runs along the hinge axis between two screw-on brackets, so the gate closes under spring tension rather than gravity, and the tension can be adjusted by rotating the end bracket before the screws are driven home. The spring steel is black coated for weather resistance, and the compact body fits inside the gate frame so nothing projects into the walkway. Each hinge is supplied with four wood screws and two mounting pins for timber posts and timber gates; two hinges are normally used per gate, one at the top and one at the bottom. The design suits garden gates, pet enclosures, paddock entrances and light shed doors where a self-closing action keeps the opening secure. Screw fixing means it retrofits onto existing gates without welding or machining, and the black finish blends with most timber and metal frames.
