A manual tile cutter for straight cuts on wall and floor tiles up to 400 mm, with a 48 x 18 cm base that stays steady on a bench or floor. The lever arm carries a hardened scoring wheel on a bearing slide, so a single pass scores a clean line before the breaker bar snaps the tile along it. Set-up is a matter of lining the tile against the adjustable fence and locking it, which keeps repeated cuts to the same width without measuring again. It handles tiles from 6 to 10 mm thick and can strip a minimum 35 mm sliver, which covers edge trims and skirting returns. The orange body is moulded with a rubberised pad that grips the tile and damps the snap, and the whole tool weighs little enough to carry between rooms. Suits tilers, kitchen and bathroom fitters, and workshops cutting porcelain, ceramic and stone-look tiles without water or power.
