Key points

  • Tungsten carbide wheel on a sealed steel shaft holds an even score along the whole cut
  • Alloy tapping head at the tail lets the break follow the score line instead of wandering
  • Oil guide tube with an anti-leak ring keeps the wheel fed so it stays smooth
  • Knurled grip gives the leverage to score thicker tile without the hand slipping
  • One cutter handles flat glass, mirror, tile and glazed ceramic from 2 to 80 mm
  • The sealed shaft keeps grit out of the wheel, so the score stays even after months in a pocket

Product detail

Roller glass cutter with a tungsten carbide wheel for scoring flat glass, mirror, tile and glazed ceramic before snapping. The wheel is micro-nano ground and runs on a sealed steel shaft, so the score stays even along the length of the cut, and the alloy tapping head at the tail is used to tap under the score line so the break follows it. A 185 mm body gives enough leverage for a straight cut and the knurled ergonomic grip keeps the hand from sliding when pressure is applied. An alloy oil guide tube with an anti-leak rubber ring feeds a small amount of oil to the wheel, which is what keeps a fresh edge running smoothly. Cuts material from 2 to 80 mm and is guided at about 60 degrees. Not for tempered glass or quartz. Weighs 105 g. Hardware and tile shops list it as a counter item, since customers cutting a single panel rarely own a cutter already. A small tool for a glazier or a hobbyist cutting mirror and tile, where the tapping head saves carrying a separate breaker.
