Key points

  • Clip-on chuck stays on the valve stem, leaving both hands free to work the trigger
  • Releasing the trigger leaves the gauge reading the pressure actually in the tyre
  • 0 to 16 bar and 0 to 220 psi on one dial, with coloured bands for the working window
  • Ribbed bezel and shock ring keep the dial reading true after a drop
  • The trigger hose adds pressure in short bursts, so a tyre is not taken past the target

Product detail

An air-line inflator gun with a mechanical dial gauge built into the body, used to check and top up tyre pressures in a workshop, a yard or a service bay. Pulling the trigger feeds air down the hose and through the clip-on chuck, which holds itself onto the valve stem so the operator has both hands free; releasing the trigger leaves the gauge reading the pressure that is actually in the tyre. The dial is scaled from 0 to 16 bar and 0 to 220 psi with coloured bands across the range, so the working window for a car or light commercial tyre can be read at a glance instead of being worked out. The gauge sits on a ribbed bezel with a shock-absorbing ring, which is what keeps a dial gauge reading true after it has been dropped on a concrete floor. Body, trigger and chuck are metal. Fleet yards keep a gun at the air line by the gate, so a driver can check pressures on the way out instead of booking the vehicle in. A bay tool for a tyre shop or garage, where the clip-on chuck leaves both hands free to seat a bead or hold the wheel.
